Search for integer & decimals in set range

Hi All,
I posted earlier today about an issue I'm having with a serch script. I think I have a better handel on what I'm looking for however I don't know how to go about writing the code for it, I have searched around on the forums but I can't find somthing I can adapt for my uses.
What I am trying to do is create a pallet marker sheet (word template) which is populated with data from my delivery note (excel wb)
So what I'm looking to do is write a search function which; Runs throught col I, when it finds a cell which contains a number I want to check if its an integer or decimal. If the number is an integer then run the bookmark code I already have. I would like to set a public variable which would be given the found row number of the serach function. Idealy when a decimal is found I would like to loop to find any other decimals and add more than one bookmark to show that a pallet is being shared. However this may be too much and a msgbox would suffice. I would like the code to run through every cell in range I16-I35.
