What barcode language are you trying to use?
For about $100 you can buy a barcode "font" that will allow you to type in barcode languages Microsoft office products.

Where can I get it?

Here is an example of one. I can speak to how well it works or how to use it. Just the first one I found when I googled it.
The 3of9 (aka Code 39) barcode requires no special software for the encoding, just the font - which you can find freeware versions of. The original specification only handles capitals, numbers and the - . $ / + % characters, though an extended version also handles lower-case characters and spaces. I tried a lot of the downloadable fonts and demos but all the barcodes are unscanable
Please help
Which barcode format were those fonts for? Did you encode the data properly, including any required stop codes (even the 3of9 barcode requires asterisks before & after the data)?
Thanks Micropod. The Astrix before and after worked.
Solus Tec-It does work butto impliment it is not easy
I found a code 3 of 9 (but I prefer code 128) that works and is free here http://www.barcodesinc.com/free-barcode-font/
Thanks all
For code 128, the data must be encoded before barcoding. See the entries on Code 128 in the link I posted
