Connecting Excel to MySQL db through VBA

I'm trying to connect to a MySQL db through VBA. This is the VBA I have to connect, but for some reason it will not connect no matter what I do.

When I execute to test the connection, it returns

I changed the SERVER from the IP address to Localhost and even 127.0.0.1 but still no connection, I even installed both 32 & 64 bit versions of the ODBC driver, the reference of Active Objects 2.8 is selected also

Why am I unable to connect?

Just a guess but, I think you need to setup a DSN (data source name) in ODBC data sources on your PC. I think that's why you are getting the response.
