Parsing comma separated data then counting/summing

Hello and thank you in advanced,

I have raw data that is presenting a problem. I'd love to be able to find a way either via formula or macro that would make my life a little bit easier. So to paint the scene:

I am looking to parse out a series of comma separated variables within a single sell, then use the count function to determine how many times we were contacted. I am filtering by Last URL and deliminating out, then Count on the page to let me know how many cells have values in them. (different unique codes will have different amounts of potential variables/new columns) The data set is rather large, so this is a pain to do manually. I have attached a sample dataset that hopefully explains itself and my problem.

It could be that I am coming at the problem wrong, but after banging my head around all day - I'm seemingly fresh out.

Is the ideal answer in cell D2 based on the comma separated values in cell A2?
