CSV File with Email column that Works to Import Contacts into Gmail

Hi!

Has anyone had luck with importing email addresses along with other contact info into Gmail from EXCEL? When I download the CVS file from an export command via Gmail, the email column is missing, and I do not how to create an Excel file from scratch that would be acceptable to Gmail after I turn it into a CVS file.

INTO gmail? I would assume there is an import feature/wizard, isn't there? you are saying that you were able to export a CVS OUT of gmail. so why can't you import it back in? I'm not really following that. do you know for a fact that gmail does not have an import feature? I have 5 gmail accounts and I've never imported anything, so I don't know.
