Libre Office Calc: Top Menu Lines: Changing The Height Of ?

    Hello,

    A Happy Holidays to all.

This Post is probably a bit unusual, as it really refers to Libre Offic Calc, but my guess is that it is exactly the same
    for Excel.

I have Excel on my Mac, but too cheap to also put it on my W10 pc, hence this question.
If anyone could perhaps help me out, would be most appreciative.

Probably a dumb question, but will blame it on old age (84) now.

I have Calc and a short wave monitoring program on my Monitor.
Running out of room to display both, well.

The top menu lines, like the one that has File-Edit-View- etc.
And the one right below with all the icons
And the one below it that shows the Cell-fx- etc

Can these few top menu lines be made vertically narrower (less high) ?
I know how to size the basic spreadsheet rows, but cannot figure out how to do the big top option lines, which
    are quite big (high).

Thanks for the help; most appreciative,
    Bob

I don't see any way to "size" a toolbar that is docked to the top. You can unlock and undock a toolbar, then resize and reposition the floating toolbar at will. I find that I use only a few of the available commands on the toolbars, so, when I get to the point of wanting the extra screen space, I customize one toolbar to show the few commands that I actually use and show only that toolbar. Or I will make sure that all the commands I use are available somewhere in the menu bar and not show any toolbars. Those are the kinds of strategies I use for claiming that screenspace occupied by the toolbars.

Tools > Options to display the Options dialog.

    deleteme-loc.png

That won't save much vertical space.
