Sumif total question for google sheets

I wonder if anyone would be kind enough to help with this please?

I require a formula for column D that totals the number of sales for red at that specific time. So as displayed , Column D would be correct if the formula were present. I'm aware its a sumif and array formula but when I try, the entire range changes to the same number. I think I need a $ symbol to lock it possibly? Ive tried Youtube but am struggling a bit. Any help much appreciated.

Thanks for replying so quick. I have given this a go but I must be doing something wrong. I have attached my actual SS that I'm trying to achieve the before mentioned objective as my initial enquiry may not have been as detailed enough.

O5 needs the total of G if C=MO. So O5=0.86, O6=0.86, O7=0.11 I already have about 300 in the list so I'm hoping to start from the top and pull the formula down so it calculates it. Is that at all possible?

One final question with this if I could. Now experimenting with multiple sumif criteria and not succeeding. In the original example above, what would I need for total of G when C criteria is "MO" and "MODB". I have tried =SUMIFS(C$5:C5,"MO",C$5:C5,"MODB",G$5:G5)

I opened the file in Apple Numbers as I don't have excel and it seems it's the same formula as the one posted before. It still returns a 0.

I don't know how to drive Apple Numbers but, if I open the Excel file with it, it does not seem to have the correct formulas in cell A5 down. So, not surprised it doesn't work.

I also don't know how to drive Google Sheets (very well). I entered the formula in cell A5 and copied it down. It works, but only for the first condition ( MO ).

I tried wrapping it in ARRAYFORMULA but that didn't seem to make any difference. I don't know enough about GS to experiment.

It works in excel fine on my work PC, I had trouble pasting the formula in to Google sheets, can you post it here if possible? If it doesn't work not to worry. Thanks for all your help. I have benefited tremendously from the first part of this thread.

I just opened the Excel file, selected the cell with the formula, pressed F2 to edit the formula, selected all the text of the formula and copied it. I then created a file in Google Sheets, selected the same cell and pasted the formula in. Once it was there, I just copied it from cell to cell. And I made up some data to check it.
