Condition Formatting on a Column of Text

Hi this is a simple thing but I can't seem to figure how how to do it in Excel 2010.

I have a column of numbers that are formatted as Text. About 6000. Some of the numbers/text are the same some are different. I want to conditionally format the column to IF the cell=this, then make it this color, if the number changes to a new number/text then make it a different color. I don't have to have a lot of colors. Only 2 will be fine. If the condition is this, use this color, if it changes on the next row in the column make it this color.
