First, I am new to all of this spread sheet mumbo jumble, at least when it comes to complex issues.
Second, I wanted to say hello world but there the entire world simply won't read this.
Third, when it comes to my company I may be the only person that gets "dirt," Heavy Equipment stuff, and the importance of utilizing technology into our routine operations.
I try to find the important data with in our system that is relevant to our operations and create "spread sheet highways" that supplies hyperlinks to our files. Generally it takes some time an hour to compile all the necessary information to a unit, machine, part, customer for someone flying at 10,000 feet (excecutives) to make a purposeful resolution to our issues. I also use them to track equipment, customers, proposals to all of our inventory. Currently they all run on separte servers and software and communicated to different personel with varying security levels on the multiple programs. I.E. we suck at effectively communicating and quick resolution to known issues.
