Automatically Pulling Data From A Separate Excel File

    Here is my issue:

I create a new excel file (sheet 1) and enter the names of mutual funds into a row of cells. There is a separate excel file (database) with the names and categorizations of the mutual funds. I want to be able to click a macro on sheet 1 and have the categories of the funds pulled from the database and appear next to their corresponding mutual funds on sheet 1.

Is this possible in any way, shape or form?

    Thank you.

    Best,
    69Excel
