INTRODUCTION by fellow excel geek (plus biz exec)

I just stumbled across Excel Forum, searching for an answer to a challenge I was having in excel. I LOVE EXCEL, and see it as simply another programming platform when used right. But I am not a programmer (even though my software dev team tease me that I really am). I am the CEO of our company but my career background has been in M&A where I've created literally thousands of different excel models for companies of all sizes. I've been recognized again and again by many as someone who can "do things you're not suppose to be able to do in Excel," although I don't typically achieve that by using built-in formulas. Instead, it's by creating my own algebraic equations, some very simple with others very very complex. I also use what I call "tiered matrixing" which allows for a wide range of simultaneous variable moving in multiple directions at the same time (e.g. changing financials variables, time variables, etc). I'm sure this is nothing new to those in this forum, and I have a LOT to learn. But anything with excel to me is FUN!!! I look forward to meeting, and learning, from the Forum.
