Hi Everyone,
New here and a beginner/intermediate user of excel with zero VBA experience. Would really appreciate the help with something I am working on, and hopefully it is quite an easy question to answer...
I want to set up a Hyperlink in Excel for when someone wants to report an error in an Excel workbook.
They would spot the error, and then click the Hyperlink e.g. "Report an Error", and this would open an outlook window with pre-loaded email addresses, subject, and body.
I have managed to do this for email addresses and subject using the 'Insert > Hyperlink' function in Excel 2016, but this does not give the option to enter body text.
I believe the following 'code' would provide me with what I need (although please correct me if incorrect):
<A HREF="mailto:[email protected]?subject=[REPORT] Error in Model Template&body=File path:>Tab Name:> Cell Reference:> Explanation of Error:</A>
... which I hope would appear as below:
To: [email protected], [email protected]
Subject: [REPORT] Error in Model Template
Body text:
File Path:
Tab Name:
Cell Reference:
Explanation of Error:
Would really appreciate assistance with correcting/refining the code, and also how I turn the code into a Hyperlink in Excel.
Many thanks,
MavJ
