Vlookup or something similar for a Car racing spreadsheet

Hello guys

I need your help. I am the new timekeeper for a racing club. My work is extremely hard as they do not have a program to use. Excel is what we use. I have managed to bring in Vlookup to help when entering participants into the racesheets. How ever when timekeeping I have 1 guy taking start times down and then taking each lap as they come in. I then manually enter the written time they give me into the spreadsheet. I then use this to sort and post results.

Vlookup has helped a lot as I only use the number to enter the person's details.

How ever i now want to use either vlookup or a formula to bring in the time for each rider, for example if I enter 550 it then brings in he's info. Now the next step I want to do is enter he's number in another cell everytime he comes in and this must record he's lap times?

Is this possible or can someone help me set this up maybe?
