Using Excel to write books

Hello. I am a teacher (mathematics, physics, navigation, etc.) I started to write books in Word and soon discovered major flaws, once I am finished I only have one book and all the calculations I have to check by hand. So all the next books I wrote in Excell and in calculation forms after all equations were checked I put rand function so every time I open excel I have a completely new book for the next year of school with new numbers and solutions, and I can export it in PDF and print it out. Currently, I am trying to figure out how to convince Excel to print and export to PDF cells of the same width and height into cells with the same width and height (for example 1cm by 1 cm to print out as 1 cm cubes. Any help would be appreciated.
