By way of introduction I am retired And have been for more than 20 years. I'm not new to programming having started writing code in the middle 1970s writing Fortran on the company mainframe to be used for me to gather data for analysis for the research I was doing. In later years I programmed Access and Excel to help me develop and manage strategic plans. I've also written VBA macros for Excel from time to time but like playing a musical instrument if one does not practice daily one loses the ability to play. I haven't practiced writing VBA code for many years . Recently I found an opportunity to write some VBA code for Excel to gather data on a game( Ticket to Ride) that my son and I play from time to time. I'm using the data we gather to analyze our playing strategies and to improve upon them. I find myself needing constant help from bits and pieces of code from the Internet that I can use as examples or skeletons upon which to construct routines and functions which when put together provide some interesting insights that have made our gameplay more interesting and challenging.
