Smile A new forum recruit from Sunshine Coast

Just new to this forum looking for guidance with programming excel. I work as a heritage consultant and am looking at excel to be used as a database for community museums as most of the other specialised software they have invested is now not available and it is obsolesced. MS Access is not an option. So hopefully this is the platform where people can share their ideas & expertise.

Hi Fmohr, welcome to the forum.

Might I ask why Access is not an option, seeing as it is an actual Database application? (And we do have an Access sub-forum, as well!)

    Hi Paul

It is a request of council to use Excel as a database as I had the same query as yourself. If you know of any templates that would be suitable for heritage collections i.e. that can be columnated into registration number / object name / description / donor / condition / location / etc. Each of the columns will need to be able to be interrogated & reported on. If you need further information I can supply it. Many thanks.
