    i can't see either of these options in thread tools. Select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Solved.
    To undo, select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Unsolved. please advise

    I have looked along the tree back to the mother forum and still can't find a link to the "mark thread as solved"

    Are you trying to mark this thread - http://www.excelforum.com/excel-gene...eadsheets.html as solved? If so, open the thread and you will find the option to mark it solved under "Thread tools".
