    Fraction Posting

Hello - this is my first post. I am retired, and sitting home struggling with my computer. My son is disgusted with me because I don't seem to know what I should, but I am one of those "older" people who have trouble catching on sometimes. I can be very "thick". Actually, at work, I was very good with Excel, so math logic was my forte. Ages ago, I actually took classes in Basic and Fortran but they were really basic !

I hate to say this, but the only reason I signed on was because I was having trouble with exactly one stupid format that was driving me crazy. I know I am not supposed to post the question here, but this is the problem - I can't post a fraction so that the numerator is on top of the denominator or at least close to that format. I did it once a long time age, but now I can't post it. Here is a copy of the way I want it - " ½ " . I copied it out of an old worksheet. This is what I get in Excel if I try to edit or post - "1/2" .

What do you all think ?

    Thanks,

    jmh24

Hello & Welcome to the Forum,

If you know you are not supposed to post here then why did you? Please post your question in the proper sub forum.
