Google is my friend but Excel pays the bills.

Hello Everyone!

I like things concise but I can rarely keep to my liking's. I have been lurking for many days and I do like a lot of what I see. I have seen things that I may have even been able to improve on, but only a few. The moderator's and Guru's seem to be much like myself and therefore I believe I may even make a couple of coding friends here too. I prefer to do my Excel work in VBA and some XML but since my primary clients are finance I do have to delve into the spreadsheets occasionally too.
I work with both Lawson S3 Financials and Hyperion Essbase & Planning mostly but I've been known to mix in SQL and Oracle ODBC calls occasionally to provide solutions for my peeps. I prefer to find syntax that works and then work with it until it's better but for me it's never perfect so I like seeing other points of view. I'm in and out of the forum but not usually here long. If there is something I don't know you probably won't hear much from me but I am happy to share what I do know if time permits.
