I love Excel, but I'm just a wannabe programmer ;)

Hello,
I'm here because I'm hoping to be able to find tons of answer and help to lots of questions I have for my work-related Excel projects. Sometimes I think my projects are waaaayyy over my head, but what can I say, I really love Excel, and why did I not pick computer science as a major when I was a very young student? Ugh ...
Anyhow, at this moment I'm struggling understanding VBA. Also, it doesn't help that at work we still have 2003 and at home I have 2010. But I love challenges, I guess. I just don't love confusion.
