Hi All,

My real name is Gary, and I remember a TV show from many years ago with a character named "Maynard" who had a strong aversion to work.

An engineer by background, I work hard for a living. But because I share Maynard's aversion, I also work hard to automate that work where possible.

I have been writing macros in Excel since the late 1980's to automate repetitive or complex tasks. When I demonstrated my work to one of my customers, he compared my product quite favorably to a choice three-letter word...

The macro language has changed dramatically since then, and I've put in a lot of work to understand and use those changes. I joined the forum because I still have questions, but I might also have answers for some of your questions.
