    Dealy with Wndows 7 starting

My windows operating system is not working properly. It's taking too much time to start. Sometime, after starting, internet connection isn't being connected. After restarting PC it connects. Sometimes, after starting PC, a message shows that the windows wasn't shut down properly. Then some options come i.e. "Start windows normally" and so on. After pressing 'Enter' it starts. Why all these occurring?
    Please give me the solution.

As my PC is taking too much time for getting started, it has now also taking a long time to shut down as well. It’s quite annoying to watch “windows is shutting down” for a long time. Whats the problem with my PC? Any help will be useful for me.

I’m having a problem with my pen drive too. It is, sometimes when I try to bring out my Pen drive manually (by clicking on the icon and then by clicking on “eject the device”), it says that this device cann’t be removed, it is using by the system… etc.
So, I’m wondering why this is occurring? Any solution?

    * 1 Disable any startup applications or processes you don't want. These are the programs that start themselves automatically whenever you power on your computer, and too many of them can use up critical resources. Click on Start, then click Run. Type in "msconfig" with no quotes, then press Enter. Click on the Startup tab, then un-check the box of any process you don't want to start up automatically. When you are finished, press OK.

    * 2 View any other programs or applications set to automatically start on login. There may be some programs left over, and you can check this by navigating to the Startup folder. Click Start then All Programs, and in your list of programs should be a Startup folder. In this folder you'll see what programs are currently set to start up automatically.

Removing the shortcuts in this folder will not affect the program, so you'll need to either access the program itself and change its settings or remove the program if you don't want it. To remove the program, either navigate to its folder under the All Programs list, or click Start, Control Panel, then Add/Remove Programs and remove the program from that list.

    * 3 Perform basic maintenance such as Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter. You can find both of these tools by clicking on Start, All Programs, Accessories, then System Tools. These two built-in applications help clean your computer to work faster and clear up space on your hard drive.

    * 4 Restart your computer to complete the changes. When you log in, your computer will have fewer programs to start and process, resulting in a shorter start time.
