    excel-filter-trick-non-adjacent-columns

Our Office 365 (and Excel) is using Dutch as language instead of English.
This means that we use a semicolon ( ; ) as a parameter delimiter in formulas instead of a colon ( , ).

Here is what I want to achieve :

I am trying to get this trick to work , but unfortunately it does not work because it refuses the colon between the accolades { } or curled brackets.

    =FILTER(FILTER(TSal[[Name]:[Position]], Tsal[Salary] > J2), {1, 0, 0, 1})

Is there a solution for this kind of language problem in formulas ?? We need this semicolon because we use the colon for decimal notation of numbers.

    Re: excel-filter-trick-non-adjacent-columns

    Welcome to the forum.

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook (yellow banner: HOW TO ATTACH YOUR SAMPLE WORKBOOK). Screenshots are of little practical use as we cannot manipulate them.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. It also has expected results mocked up, worked examples where required, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.

Please add 365 to your profile Excel details. Thanks.

    Re: excel-filter-trick-non-adjacent-columns

    Hi AliGW,

Thank you for your fast reply and suggestion.
The forward slash did not work, but the backslash solved the issue.

This is now my working solution --> =FILTER(FILTER(TBL_Data[[naam]:[taal]];TBL_Data[taal]="NL";"nothing here");{1\0\1})
By using a backslash instead of a colon, I can use this formula in my Dutch version of MS Office 365 for Enterprises (Version 2304)

    1. Please change yoyur forum profile to MS365 (2304).
    2. Backslash was what I suggested!

Thank you. Next time, provide the sample workbook first!
