"Reference Isn't Valid" For Dynamic Hyperlink Function

    Hello and Good Afternoon,

In Excel 365 I am simply trying to jump to a different location in the current worksheet using the "hyperlink" function so the formulas will automatically update when the data is shifted within the column the links go to. I'm using =HYPERLINK("[WorkBookName.xlsx]Sheet1!A10","FriendlyName"), but I'm getting "Reference Isn't Valid". Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

    Try it this way instead:

    =HYPERLINK("#Sheet1!A10","FriendlyName")

The # symbol is an HTML thing meaning basically "in this file".

    Hope this helps.

    Pete

Thanks Pete_UK! That worked perfectly. I saw some formulas posted elsewhere using the hash tag, "#", but they were longer and more involved and I could never get them to work. Thanks again!
