Where is the formula?
Please provide a workbook with the formula you have tried. SUMIF works the same in Excel 2010 as it does in 365.
Maybe you have forgotten that you need COUNTIF instead???
=COUNTIF($D$1:$D$11,K1)

It's just a case of picking the correct function! You can't count with s SUMIF function - the clue is in the name.
