    Power query Merge to return scaler value or list

    Hi,
    Is it possible to use Merge to return a single value of list ; so other methods ;

    Lookup = Table [Item] [Price]

    or using select ;
    AT and BT = Tables

    I have tried several ways in merge but get errors, is this possible or not? I have merged and then expanded the price but this give a strange result
    as my orignal order was a,b,c, which then become a a b c d

    I have attached workbook showing results and errors in merge , I have a follow up question but will post separate.

    Richard.

    There is no workbook attached and your question is, to me at least, extremely unclear.

    I have attached a workbook with exce and lookup and select rows versions,
    I just want to know if there is a way to achive the same using merge,

    the closest I have got is to then use transformcolumns

    so the excel version would be;

    S

    Merge will need to be multiple steps.
    You could write custom function etc. But execution speed will largely depend on source query plan. And more condensed code, doesn't directly translate into more performant query.
