I have just set up OneDrive to sync files across multiple devices(PC), and the account associated with OneDrive is my personal Hotmail. Office 365 is not free for hotmail address.
Office 365: I use alumni email address to sign in, and Office 365 is associated with alumni email address.
In short, I have to use alumni email address for Office 365, on the other hand, I want to hotmail for onedrive (I also use outlook associated with hotmail). There are two email addresses, which causes office files do not work properly in OneDrive.
Whenever I deal with microsoft files under Onedrive, they do not work properly. Some files intend to ask me to sign in (although I already sign in with alumni email), when I click Sign In again, and enter alumni email/password, it does not recognize. It intends to only accept hotmail associated with OneDrive. Some files show security risk, while there is nothing to unblock in file property. I already disable AutoSave, why the system asks me to sign in with OneDrive email.
I set up OneDrive in order to sync files across different device, but it does not work properly with microsoft files, since I have to use alumni email for Office 365 and I also want to use hotmail for OneDrive.
Maybe I need to reverse OneDrive sync setting, and move all files back to local hard drive.
