    Conditional Formatting w/Dates

I am trying to use conditional formatting to highlight a cell when the date in the cell is either equal to or greater than the current date and also highlights a different color when the current date comes within 15 days of the date in the cell. Not sure if I explained that very well...see my example

Expiration Date is in cell D4: 6/20/2017
Highlights in red when the date is 6/20/2017 or later
Highlights in yellow when the date is between 6/15 & 6/19/2017

If it is not possible to do both parameters that is ok, I can live with the red highlight scenario

Any and all help is appreciated.

    Cool Re: Conditional Formatting w/Dates

    1. select D4
    2. open CF or use Alt H, L R
    3. New Rule
    4. Choose: Format only cells that contain...
    5. 1st dropdown: Cell Value
    6. 2nd dropdown: Greater than or equal to
    7. 3rd dropdown: =DATEVALUE("20/06/2017")
    8. Format: Red (hope you know how to do it) then Ok
    9. repeat pts.4, 5 & 6
    10. 2nd dropdown: Between
    11. 3rd dropdown: =DATEVALUE("15/06/2017")
    12. 4th dropdown: =DATEVALUE("19/06/2017")
    13. Format: Yellow then Ok
    14. Ok

Note: change date format to your local settings ie. US. style will be: 06/20/2017 and so on

and next time create thread in appropriate part of forum ie. Excel Formulas & Functions

If that takes care of your original question, please click on Add Reputtion (bottom left corner of the post of the person(s) who helped you) then select Thread Tools from the menu (top right corner of your thread) and mark this thread as SOLVED. Thanks.
