Paste URL from Excel into Outlook

I don't know if this is an Outlook or Excel issue. I have an Excel sheet with several links that are functional from the sheet itself. When I copy and paste them into an Outlook meeting planner or e-mail, the domain seems to be removed and is pasted as ../../../file name so the link is broken. I asked someone for help and she was able to get it to work so I tried it this morning and it worked but now it is not working again. Please help me figure this out! I know there are workarounds but considering what I'm trying to schedule, if I can get this fixed it will be a HUGE timesaver for me.
