    Using VBA to edit Windows Registry to turn off "New Outlook" option

    Hello,

    I am trying to get the Office version.
    I can do Application.Version which gives 16.0, but the registry has several previous numbers.

    Is O365 always 16.0? I a not sure how that fits in with all the build/subscription options.

    Re: Getting Office version

    Everything from 2016 onwards is version 16!

    What are you actually trying to check for specifically? (i.e. what functionality)

    Re: Getting Office version

    Thank you. I was trying to create the registry key to hide the "Try the new outlook" slider.

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Options\General]
    "HideNewOutlookToggle"=dword:00000001

    I just hardcoded it with version 16 but it seems to have to create it every time for some users i.e. bnKeyThere returns false.

    Here is function I'm using.

    Re: Getting Office version

    This is not an Excel question, and it's really about much more than how to get the version number. I am updating your title and moving the thread.
