    Master slide issue

    Hi

I can only assume I've set something up wrong.

    What I'm trying to achieve:
A PPT template that, when it's used as the basis for a presentation, has a large animated logo appear on the first slide only with a textured background, all subsequent slides will always have the textured background but there will be a number of different image overlays of various office scenes) and they will NOT employ the logo that's on the first slide, they will instead have a smaller version of the logo bottom right on each page.

    What I've got:
In the master, the first slide is the master slide and on here I have the background and the logo.
All subsequent slides are as described above - the front and centre large logo isn't there but the little one bottom right is.
There are three such slides, one each for the different office scenes I'm using.

    What's happening:
The front and centre large animated logo is appearing on ALL the slides.

    What have I done wrong?

So far I've tried creating a master where the first slide is just the textured background and no logo at all and the next (indented) slide in the master is the textured background and the front and centre large animated logo - it still keeps appearing on every page.
I've tried selected 'Hide background graphics' to see if this would do something but it makes no difference.

Thoughts? What am I doing wrong?

    (1) Slide Master with textured background & small logo, (2) first slide Layout with animated logo, (3) other slide Layouts with various office scene.

    Something like attached file?

Change the file extension to .zip and then attach.

    Re: Master slide issue

Having unzipped I'm struggling to see a file that has a .PPT file extension.

However, in working to create a version of the document I could upload for us all to look at, I managed to sort it - oddly, I couldn't do it yesterday, it just wasn't allowing me to select the type of slide I wanted - Master of Title Slide. It is doing it today (thank goodness), and I've been able to resolve the issue from what I can see albeit, accidentally.

Weirdly, the indented slides that were showing yesterday, are not there today.

How did I get those in the first place is what I'm wondering.

    Re: Master slide issue

Thank you - that worked great.

I guess the difference is yesterday that document some slides were indented - if I see that occurring again, I need to figure out why and what would I do about that because having it not indented like it's showing up today - I can control the type of slide perfectly well.

Is it some kind of a sub-slide or something??

    Re: Master slide issue

Hi - I could, but the issues I was having yesterday just aren't there, the indented slides aren't there (and I've no idea how they arrived with me yesterday either) so it wouldn't be of much help.

PowerPoint just keeps endlessly crashing today so it's not helping.
