Data Validation Query - Limit input based on multiple criteria

Afternoon all,

I've been scratching my head over this one all morning and I can't see where I'm going wrong. I'm trying to add data validation to limit input based on a couple of criteria but it isn't behaving as I expect.

I've added a replica of the data I'm working with along with further instructions. I'd be grateful if someone could point out where I'm going wrong?!?!

Seem like something with ignore blank.
When criteria in row 4 has blank , then Data Validation will ignore all criteria.

You may need to put number 0 in row 4 or uncheck ignore blank.

Cheers Bo_Ry, I think you've cracked it.

I wasn't aware of the impact of blank cells (or that tick box feature) but from reading up on it you can select whether they null and void your data validation.
