Excel - Transfer row to another worksheet without VBA and without linking...

    Hello,

I am trying to automate the moving of a row from sheet1 to sheet2 to create a permanent record of that row before it is changed on sheet 1.

As this will be hosted on a company intranet VBA may cause issues and so I'm trying to avoid that and macros.

I thought about VLOOKUP to take the specific data I need to record but, when sheet 1 is modified it also modifies sheet2 so that will not work.

Sheet 1 contains formulas which I am not interested in - I only want the cell contents transferred in this instance.

Does anyone know of a method or function to transfer part of (or full row) to another sheet without there being that link?

    Many thanks in anticipation...

Additional info - I am currently using a drop-down list to select the correct row required from sheet1. It would be a bonus if I can continue to use this method.

Also - I realise that this is probably best done using a database, however, there are not hundreds of entries. I'm just trying to record changes made and the date of those changes.
