Within this new forum: Suggestion for Improvement, I cannot see more than the first page. I don't even see an indication that there may be more than one page. All I see currently is 1 to 18 of 18 showing.... leading me to believe all threads are showing....

Strange... I only see 1 still... you are in Firefox too? I am in Firefox 6.0
I see 40 threads (although it says 41 if you look at the parent grouping). Since I see 25 threads per page, there are two pages (1-25 and 26-40).
I'm using Firefox 8.0.1.
Here is what I see... at top right it says 1 to 19 of 19....
Firefox updated me to 10.0.1 now, but I'm still good with 40 threads..

This is messed up, man... everyday a new inexplicable problem!
Any reason you're still using Firefox 6? Not to say that upgrading will fix the issue for you, but it is a few years old now.
Not really... maybe laziness... I guess I can try upgrading it...
Ok.. that was easy.. I am now on the latest and greatest 10.0.1 version... and still I see 1 to 19 of 19 with no page 2...
In your General Settings (link along left side of User CP), what is your 'Default Thread Age Cutoff' set to? Mine is 'Show All Threads'. Hopefully yours isn't 'from last day' or 'from last 2 days'.
Well, what do ya' know... that was it Paul. I had never noticed that issue before though..
It only happens with new forums, where some kind of default view cut-off kicks in.
Or in forums that have been made a playground for forum newbies and a learning experience for amateurs.
Probably it's on of your general settings/Message Display option/ posts per page......
I think the forum default is 15, but that doesn't work if a thread contains 16 pages (repeatedly reported and predictabley handled : i.e. ignored).
Somebody must have messed up the calculation device (probably forgot that to return a modulo the first item must be 0 instead of 1) to determine the number of pages.
If this doesn't help the best way to proceed seems to be to get befriended with Vai & Shub, because if you are you have no problems whatsoever (see Arlu's posts)
