Is invisible mode working correctly?

Hi Folks!

Can you see my user name in the currently active users list?

I use the invisible mode and my user name should not appear in that list.

My name does appear to me (which it should) but it usually had an asterisk next to it denoting invisible mode. However, I no longer see the asterisk so does that mean I'm no longer invisible?

If I go to one of my replies in a thread it signifies that I am invisible.

EDIT: Well, I see another user's name in the list and I know this other user also uses invisible mode so I guess that means invisible mode is not working correctly.

Biff, it looks to me (right now - 17:45 sunday 9/1) that you are off-line. I have seen other members set as invisible, and the "dot" next to their name in a thread is yellow - yours right now is white, I will check again when I know you are on-line

Let me know if you can see my user name in the currently active users list on the front page of the forum.

Up until yesterday, when I am logged in there was an asterisk next to my name which indicates invisible mode. Both yesterday and today that asterisk is not there. So, that leads me to believe that I am not logged in under invisible mode?

As a moderator I see your name on the main page as logged in, plus, in this thread I see the yellow circle next to your name indicating invisible.

Maybe we need a non admin/moderator to give some insight to what they see!

Biff, right now (8:16pm) next to your name is a yellow dot, and it says you are invisible, but maybe mod's can see more than "normal" people lol?

I see the yellow dot in this thread and when I mouse-over it says: Tony Valko is invisible.

However, I don't see the asterisk next to my name on the front page of the forum which was always there up until yesterday.

I just added to my post that I could see that

I'm not that old (yet) so my eyes are somewhat still in focus and I do not see the asterisk next to anybody's name.

It seems the forum backend is acting up:

• just received an error screen after hitting submit
• received a double post
• and the thread posted in did not automatically subscribe me to the post

Now I see here in this thread down at the bottom of the screen it shows me and Tony currently browsing this thread and Tony does have the asterisk.

Just not on the main forum page.

I guess I have never looked before, but I don't recall the asterisk on the main page, but again, probably never looked...

I was looking on the "whos online" page, dont know if thats where anyone else was looking?

Yes, on the who's on line page I do see the asterisk. I must have misunderstood, but I was referring to the top left hyperlink "Forum".

Down at the bottom it shows...

There are currently 1161 users online. 51 members and 1110 guests

I don't see any asterisk there, but again, not sure I ever recall then being there.

It seems Tony's image he just posted was referring to this section, but again, may have misunderstood...

Jeff, yes, that's the area I was referring to.

As you can see in the screencap there is no asterisk next to my name. As I noted in earlier posts, there had always been an asterisk next to my name up until yesterday.

So I'm just wondering if I am logged in as invisible or not?

I remember seeing the * in the Who's online list and it still shows up for users in the invisible mode. However, i dont see it on the front (home) page for those users. I can check if the tech team have de-activated it but i dont recall seeing it on the home page at all.
