Increase the number of characters allowed in a post

Hello Admins!

Would it be possible to allow more characters per post than is currently allowed?

When I try to post this data (plus a couple of additional columns):

In a BB code table generated by the macro found here:

I get a message that says the character count is ____ which is more than the limit of 10,000.

The resultant table is not all that big but it does take a lot of BB code to generate it.

Can we please increase the character count in the posts?

Yeah, that would work but I'm reluctant to attach files or download files from unknown sources.

That's why I really like that table making macro. You can post the data without having to use attachments (provided you can make the table in 10,000 characters or less).

10,000 characters seems like a lot of characters but that's NOT how many characters make up the data. The character count includes the BB code that actually generates the table.

The character count of the actual data that I wanted to put into a table is "only" 871 characters.

There's an Excel add-in that will do that but it generates the table in HTML code which this forum does not allow!

So, we can only build tables using the BB code.

The characters in the posts have been increased to 15000. Checking with the team about the table functionality.
