    LOL!!!!!!!!!

    It's a rite of passage: first you discover merged cells and find them attractive, then you are seduced by them and use them everywhere, then you realise they are cheating you by preventing you from analysing your data effectively, and finally you have to say 'goodbye'. I think most of us have been there ...

    Good reminder that I haven't posted anything useful in AGES....

    So this morning I've finally started a series I've had in mind for a while, of sharing some basic Power Query tips and tricks that I've found particularly useful.

    @Olly,

    It looks as if your site doesn't acccept comments.

    e.g. the replacement of your turn columns into Text.

    Exactly what is says:

    Your site doesn't accept comments.

    https://excel.solutions/2019/07/powe...s/#comment-234

    That's why 'recent comments' is so empty.

    Looks like my Shield anti-bot settings were falsely flagging EVERY comment as spam.

    Are you simply suggesting a VBA method for the PQ function?
