General Vs. Miscellaneous forums: which is what?

When posting Excel inquiries, how is one to choose between the Excel General forum and the Excel Miscellaneous forum?

    Here is how they appear:

    Excel General (232 Viewing)
    Post any general Excel questions.

    Excel Miscellaneous (3 Viewing)
General forum for any miscellaneous Excel topics.

Both look, in spirit, pretty general to me.
If there is consensus on this will someone describe the criteria?

I think it would make the site slightly more user friendly to merge these forums, thereby eliminating this conundrum for potential posters. It might simplify searching just a little as well.

Failing such a merger, could the tag lines on the respective forums include some language to aid disambiguation?

If this information appears somewhere already kindly direct me to it and accept my apology for taking up your time.

    Thanks

Believe me, we have brought that up many time with the Admistrators... one day it will become more obvious, for now use either...Those forums cascade into subforums.. pick from the most appropriate subforum...

I concur with excelname and would add "Worksheet Functions" to the list which is strangely a subforum of Programming which doesn't make sense to me unless we're talking about UDF's.
