What happened was the ususal:
Owner undertakes major maintenance on live forum. No advance notification of either Admin nor moderators. We were all groping in the dark as much as you were.

This was scheduled maintenance to remedy the problems with slowness, etc & shouldn't have lasted that long. I knew about the maintenance which was planned for early yesterday morning (UK), unfortunately, Vai has now let me know that there was extensive problems & the whole database had to be repaired. This wasn't foreseen & couldn't have been notified.

Still, some kind of advance notice from Vai to at least the moderators would have been useful. As it was, the regulars as well as the moderators encountered error messages with no explanation about what was going on.

I don't know. I haven't heard anything of Anne for a long while. I believe she received Word MVP, but that's the last i heard. I know she was ill at one time.
