    Cool The Dog House!

I had what I thought was a great idea which was to take my old pc and renew it a little, you know, give it a little spruce up. The great thing about my old pc is that it has Office 07 on it which would allow me to get a little "head start" on certain VBA things for when my computer at work switches from 03 to 07. Not a bad idea yeah? So there I am, working on it in my basement and I have cords running this way and that (power cords this way, internet cable that way. The internet cable [I]WAS[I] stretched out and running past my office to my recroom, with the laundry room right in between. Last night my wife had her hands full and was carrying laundry into the laundry room when she tripped over the internet cable, curled her toe under her foot, stepped on it, and the broke it. Yep, she broke it, and let me tell you, she was not very happy about it! Now her toe is black (very black) from the tip of it to just past the knuckle part of it. After giving me hell for leaving "s&!t" out, I thought she was going to throw my old computer away. Now I'm in the dog house (luckily not literally because my dog's house stinks like wet dog) and I don't know when I am going to get out. I tried to tell her it was there for the betterment of my career but she was having none of it . Anyway, I had to share that!

As a sign of good faith you should sign her up for a class on how women should be aware of their surroundings when doing the laundry, cooking, cleaning, etc. They're downright dangerous people at times.

Did she at least finish the laundry??

I just can;t believe the amount of rooms you have in your house........... rec room, office, laundry room! jeez - how the other half live! If our local authority found out about my conditions i'd be done for statutory overcrowding!

We live in a 2 two bed cottage! Trying to find somewhere bigger but the price of houses in the South East is astronomical.

Re getting out of the Dog House.......... don't try, enjoy it whilst your'e there. Relax, dl a film and have a beer in the rec room! but you MUST..... before you settle down. Go and ask her if she needs something. She won't answer! and voila!

    Good Luck Cadet!

I'll pass on your sentiments so that it won't happen again . Wait a tic, if I do that it'll be my hide on the line, she knows karate (not that she could kick me now ).

And, yes she did get the laundry done!

That I definitely can do! Although I'll probably wind up on this forum instead of watching a film.

An update. I am officially out of the doghouse now but now I must find a way to get back in it! Hmm, maybe I'll set up the computer in our bedroom and have the cords running across the door-way. Thoughts to ponder
