    Laptop for huge excel files

Hi, I use huge excel files (~ 100 MB each and atleast 5 open at a time). I currently use a Dell Latitude D 530 (1 GB RAM original: have extended by 2 GB so total 3 GB). The laptop hangs many times during the day. I'm now planning on HP 4330 S. It has 2 GB RAM. Questions: 1. Is this a good choice/will my performance improve?
    2. Can the extra 2 GB of Dell be installed in this new laptop?

    thanks in advance.

I would suggest 4Gb at least, and maybe even have 64bit Windows and 64bit Office (with 8Gb or more)..

I have just checked that model on Crucial, and I see it takes a maximum memory of 4Gb. A 2Gb memory module you would cost £23 here in the UK, but quite honestly will make little difference than the 3Gb you have, 32bit can only address 3Gb+. not the full 4Gb.

I am going in for a new laptop. Assuming money is not a criteria, which laptop model should i go for? The objective is same: efficiency for >100MB excel files and more than 3 files open at a time. Also please let me know the configuration of the same.

Have a look at the Dell XPS 15z, it's a bit of a beast.
