server down?

Hi all, got a quick question...

did any-one else have a problem connecting today....well yesterday now 2-7/13? From about 1500 to 2300 (my entire shift at work), I was pretty much unable to connect. I managed to connect once or twice (using 3 different machines), and each time, I was able to view ONE thread, when I tried to reply (in every instance) I lost connection and got this error message...

(actual numbers and letters hidden to protect the innocent lol)

bottom line, for 8 hours I was unable to connect - I am currently at home, so am on a different ISP

We had a problem with the server yesterday evening Indian time and i posted a notice about it being down. It was out for almost 1.5 hrs and then intermittently off and on. But not for this long time.

Maybe your IP got blocked? You can PM me your office IP and i can ask the tech team to check.

We faced some intermittent server issues and thanks for bearing with us. I guess they are all sorted now as everyone is able to access without any issue.

Are we having server issues today. I am getting lots of time outs. Any one else experiencing issue today.

Yes we are. I faced it in the night Indian Time and the tech team were actually working on it with the server guys at around 1AM IST.

And Arlette, did you get my PM regarding SixthSense's IP being blocked?

Ok great. I just got blocked at the server and then the tech team unblocked me.

Pete, it seems to be ok now, but all ady long nobody said a word about this/these problem(s)

Still no change, the access problem seems to be ongoing. Do the "alleged" admin take any notice of the errors they receive!!!

Yes, we are aware of the issues. The tech team is working with the server guys to get it resolved. Yesterday for some time it was much better but the errors are recurring.

yes, and my IP at work still appears to be blocked...for a week now!! I an only echo Pete's comments in post #18!

So this is another day with the same on problems. How much longer do we have to endure the "Server Issues"!!
Don't have problems at these vBulletin sites! Perhaps it might be worth a phone call.

Yes, the server went down briefly. The tech team is checking it.

you know, its getting really bad when the connection to the server is SO bad that you cant even connect to the server to COMPLAIN about how bad the serever is!!!
Don’t know about any-one else, but the way this server has been continually going down-hill, I'm about ready to call it quits and move on to another forum

That's why we have to do some tests..

I think excel forum admin wants to open new forum relating to server problems.Any tech people available please join....today....

Nah, why ever would we? No doubts, no doubts whatsoever. I think we all know where the tech team skills level resides. As they used to say in my youth: "answers on a post card to ... " Maybe, it's "answers on a tweet" nowadays?


And, you know what's really funny? The server crashed when I posted this reply ... although it did get through!
