Just had an odd friend request from coolsanjuc. Not a user name I recognised. But on looking they have had no activity; no posts at all.

It has happened to me a time or two on help forums. For some people forums are about social status imo but I've never really liked that. Set a minimum post count like say 100 for yourself to accept friend requests. There are many that do that sort of thing.
If you're happy with someone's help, click that little star at the bottom left of their post to give them Reps.

I usually (read always) accept such a request - it doesn't hurt - and, occasionally, they'll ask for your help
If I've helped you, please consider adding to my reputation - just click on the liitle star at the left.

I have 8-9 "friend" requests accepted, and all are long-standing members that I "know" fairly well from here

The Grid. A digital frontier. I tried to picture clusters of information as they moved through the computer. What did they look like? Ships? motorcycles? Were the circuits like freeways? I kept dreaming of a world I thought I'd never see. And then, one day...
