Search a thread by the 'id' ?

When we browse to a thread, the url shows in such a way:

9XXXXX-the-title-of-the-thread.html

How do you search for that thread using the id?

that functionality was lost when they started naming threads with forum/id-description

maybe each post should be given a default Tag of the ID so we could use that.

I'm not sure why you'd know the id but you can still use it:
http://www.excelforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=965158
for example.

Thanks! It's because I have coded some macros and used the thread's ID as the macro's name, thinking I could easily search for the thread again if I have to, but was stumped when the search function doesn't support it.
