You need a pdf converter, no other way.

The PDFs must have been created off some original documents, created with Word or the like. The best way would be to access the original documents, make the changes there and convert them back into PDFs.

One of the purposes of PDFs is that they are relatively safe from manipulation, so the author can be sure that the content is not changed.

A product like Adobe Acrobat can open PDFs in an editable mode to make minor changes and corrections.

Maybe you need to google for PDF Editors

A pdf converter is software that you will probably have to pay for that will enable you to convert .pdf files to excel or word documents. This is one of the catches that Adobe has.
There are many free programs that will enable you to convert anything to a pdf, but to go the other way, you need to pay.

Word does not offer any option to convert a doc file to pdf, You need to use a pdf converter to do this task. Here is an online word to pdf converter.

    mikerowan,

Word 2007 and greater very much so offers to convert a document to PDF. It's one of the features of Word 2007.

The question here is, though, how to go the other way, no?
