    Error While Printing

    Hello Everyone !!

I am trying to print a word document using an Excel Macro. There are a lot of these documents which I need to print on an ongoing basis, and hence the macro.

While printing I get a message saying "The margin of section 1 are outside the printable area of the page. Do you want to continue?"
Is there anyway I can get rid of these?

I have tried using display alerts and screenupdating commands, but neither of them work.

    Any ideas?

    Regards
    Manish

The basic answer is Yes. But the question is what is the best way ... and I a not sure about that. It probably depends on quite how you are doing it.

    1. You could monitor for a new window being created and use a send keys to coplete the dialog. I have done this and it is not straightforward.
    2. If you arn't already ... try opening the work files as objects in excel and you may find you get access to the print controls (but I suspect not)
    3. Make sure the documets are within the print area.

I'd suggest fixing the cause of the problem instead of trying to hide the warning messages - they're there for a good reason.

    Re: Error While Printing

    Thanks guys.

I used tony's pointers to modify the area of the print. I was able to fix it using PrintZoomPaperWidth and PrintZoomPaperHeight commands parameters of printout command.
