Can't open word doc, OR can't create table

Word 2003-2007, using VBA from excel to work with word. It has something to do with how I create the objects, or use methods for those objects.

This code will open the document just fine, but when I create the table it says that method isn't supported for the object. It's the

    set oTable =
    that is causing the troubles

and if I use this code it won't open the document, but if I take it out and open the document myself, it will create the table.

EDIT: I solved it - just needed to add a "oWord." before the activedocument line. Don't know how to delete threads.
