Hey, I'm pretty new to this forum but would appreciate it if someone could assist. Usually I'm perusing the excel programing forum, but tonight I have a question about a macro for Word.

I am looking for a macro to bold a certain word based on it's orientation or based on the fact that it is the first word in the paragraph. I'm sure that a macro could be written for each given the talent that I have seen on the excel forum.

Basically it contains synonyms and I would like the macro to bold the original word. I have included an example, and bolded a few of the words that I would like bolded so you can see the spacing and their orientation to each other. There are about 300 pages total so you can see why I am looking to speed up the process.

My wife is working on a project and would greatly appreciate any help. Her boss moved up her deadline and we are trying to finish this before our vacation next week.

Here's what the data looks like. Sorry, tried to attach a example doc, but IE was giving me probs:

abandon (SYN) l;akjsdfl;jal;sdfjlakjsdfklajsdfl;jasl;dfl;kj;lakjsdf;lkj asdflkj (ANT) l;kjasl;fd;jal;jsdflkajsldfkjl;ajsfd

abate (SYN) lakjsdfl;ja;lsjdfljalksjdfkljal;sdkfjasd (ANT) lal;sj;dflajsl;df;jasd

abbreviate (SYN) l;akjdfl;ja;lsjfd;jl;ajsdf;lja;lsd;fjl;jals;d;fjl;jalskdf (ANT) l;kajsdfl;ja;ldslfjl;ajsfdl;kjalksd

abdicate (SYN) ;ljadf;lajsdf;lajds (ANT) ;lakjdf;lja;ljsfd

BTW: we are using an older 2000 version of word if that makes any difference

Thanks, Nic!
