My wife's business is not doing well for the last 5 months and she had to layoff her one and only staff. Now she has to handle all the works in the shop and she does her paperworks at night. Her extra works involve monitoring stocks consisting at least a thousand items. It was so time consuming that we hardly spent time together. I'm requesting assistance from the good people here to help me automate her works.
Here are my plans to ease her work.
1) Snap pictures of her products (done halfway although time consuming but should be worthy in the end),
2) Save all the images (in jpeg) to her laptop,
3) Create a spreadsheet with 5 columns:- Col 1 - no., Col 2 - images, Col 3 - model no., Col 4 - unit price & Col 5 - qty
4) Create macro to insert the images into Col 2.
5) Create filter to search her products by images and model no.
Now I need to create macros to insert all the images I had snapped (located in the laptop) into Col 2’s rows automatically. I've done it manually but it's just too slow. The images imported were too big in size and I had to resize them in excel (1.32” x 1.77”) to fit the cell’s height (130px) and width (175px). The images had to be aligned in rows to make them searchable via filter.
I know that it can be done but I’m not excel savvy. Please help. Thanks in advance.
