Excel Update links - Freezes

Hi everyone,

Quite annoying error.

When I open an excel document that I use on a daily basis. I get an message box to update the link. here are my choices:
1 - Click "update"
2 - Click "don't update"
3 - Click on the left hand corner "X"

I have tried the three above possibilities in each case it crashes.

Screen is white, at the top it says not responding.

If you have any idea on how to solve that I would be very appreciative.

Unfortunately, I don't know what file it is linked to. I cannot see, since it does not let me in the s/sheet :S

Hi,

If you wish to break the links, click on "Data" Tab - > Edit Links -> Edit Links window will open
Click on Break Link. This will remove all external connections linked to the file.

Unfortunately I cannot even click on DATA or any menu. once I click the message box away, Excel freezes...

I unchecked #ask to update automatics links#. Now, it does not ask for update anymore and crash directly.

This wbk has code but has no external queries.

I don't think so. Maybe I had something activating the first sheet. But I cannot hit alt + F11 to see it crashes before I get a chance

Thanks for trying to help me. This must be a weird one. I wrote a little code to save it in a new folder every day, so that if this happen again, I can start from the previous day.
